MBA Best Thesis Award goes to 2 joint winners for the first time

As the jury could not decide on one winner, the prize for the best master thesis of the Professional MBA Entrepreneurship & Innovation went to 2 alumni for the first time. During the E&I Touchdown on January 20th, 2016, Katharina Mewald, Business Consultant at IBM Austria, and Josef Aschl, founder of Aschl Environmental Systems, received the award for the outstanding quality of their master theses.

1919 – back to the roots of a unique Austrian-American cooperation

Transnational WU Alumni Hub meeting in Brno

Typically, alumni get-togethers are about reuniting with former fellow students, having fun and exploring opportunities for collaborative projects. The WU alumni meeting held in Brno (CZ) on January 27th, 2016, showed that making the most of synergies adds a completely new dimension to such reunions: It brought together not only alumni of the WU Alumni Club and WU Executive Club, but also graduates of WU’s CEE Competence Center and alumni of the University of Economics in Prague.
