Newsletter of the WU Executive Academy – Vienna University of Economics and Business
NEWSLETTER APRIL 2018

Dear readers,

There are many generalizations, misjudgments and partial truths surrounding blockchain and bitcoin, which cause confusion. "This is typical of new technology," says WU expert Prof. Alfred Taudes. In this issue of our newsletter, the Academic Director of WU's Cryptoeconomics Research Institute and long-standing lecturer at the WU Executive Academy, clears up the 7 most common myths about blockchain and bitcoin.

Faster than the others, better than the others, cheaper than the others: Competition and competitive thinking are fundamental cornerstones of the economy - and yet working together is becoming more important; lean, efficient value-added processes today require a cooperative approach by companies.

In this article by Helga Pattart-Drexler, Head of Executive Education at WU Executive Academy, and Thomas Funke, founder of TechQuartier Frankfurt, you can read how cross-competitive collaboration already works in practice, why cross-industry formats are the training of the future, and what opportunities managers can expect from cooperation in the area of human resources.
