Newsletter of the WU Executive Academy – Vienna University of Economics and Business
NEWSLETTER FEBRUARY  2018

Dear readers!

Many people feel uneasy about the second machine age: Job losses and mass poverty are on the horizon. Are they? Now, more than ever, we have the chance to change society for the better - and empower people to be more than just providers of human labor. In this Forbes Utopia, Helga Pattart-Drexler, Head of Executive Education, talks about intimidating future scenarios and the opportunity to finally do the right thing.

Learning in the age of digitalization: people need to constantly adapt their knowledge which puts businesses in a challenging setting when it comes to educating managers and executives. Just gathering knowledge is a thing of the past; the future will be all about understanding connections, reducing complexity and solidifying the role of lifelong learning: namely in its own subject discipline.

With this in mind, Dr. Astrid Kleinhanns-Rollé, Managing Director of the WU Executive Academy, has taken a closer look at the pivotal role that an organization's digital culture will play in executive education. She also identifies the most important trends that will shape the future of learning.
